In the late 1990's, Mattel released Hot Wheels X-V Racers. The cars would race around the track after getting a 10-second charge on a base. The track sets were Nascar and Daytona themed but they did release non-Nascar-style cars separately in single packs. In 2008, Mattel re-issued the track with the Speed Racer license and called the line, "Powerburst". They were a Target exclusive. Check out this original commercial! Back to Table of Contents. |

Check out this cool video with the old track. Nothing like bringing out the old track and getting creative with a wild track, some books, and even a special finish into a Hess truck! Oh yeah, watch the whole thing for the bloopers at the end. I really liked that bonus to the video. Great idea!
